One of my memorable oversea trip was going to Kuala lumpur by taking the KTM for the first time instead of my father usual driving. It took us from 10 pm to around 8 in the morning to reach Kuala lumpur which is way longer than it takes to drive there by car. However it was worth it as i really enjoy looking at the scenery and i even manage the catch the sunrise looking out of the window as the train is moving. It is really a new experience for me. I am glad i am able to take it before the closure of the Tanjong pagar railway station. From there we took a taxi to our hotel Angasa which is about 15 minute from the railway station. Our hotel was located nearby to KL's Chinatown area of Petaling Street. It is a shopping and food paradise. We can get clothes, wallet, belt and bag at really bargain price. Delicious food is everywhere and it is really cheap and good. Since it was a three days 2 night trip we decided to just spend our first day resting and do a bit of shopping at petaling streets and head to genting highland the next day.
On our second day, It is Genting highland day. Everyone was excited and look forward to it. Again we took taxi there and as it get further up the hill, it get colder and colder and i almost feel as if i can touch the cloud. The amusement was an attraction for teenager there. One bad point about it is that the queue can get really long especially the roller coster rides. Weather is not favouring us as due to constant rain and it gets very windy thus it was freezing cold eventhough i had my jackets on. Some rides were force to stop due to the unfavourable weather. Our vision was also affected by the thick cloud covering but that despite all that i enjoy myself and it was a experience i will never forget. On our third day, it was our last day at malaysia. As the taxi go down the hill, we sight a strawberry leisure farm and we decided to stop there to take a look. To my surprise, we can self pick strawberry inside the farm for such a cheap rate. And the strawberry taste sweet ! Souvenir can also be bough there. After picking enough strawberry, it was time to head downto Kuala lumpur railway way station to catch our train back to singapore. It was really a experience i will never forget.
